There isn’t anything sane with the C++ scripting system either and idk why everything seems to be rewritten in whatever latest and useless C++ features for no good reason either. A lot of systems are looking like dev playgrounds.

Yes but if you scrapped modules you'd have to distribute core patches for everything and that's just not user-friendly. Distributing a module that a user can simply add and run is a whole lot easier.
