Its got to be a script or something somewhere. When you pick up the original quest, it also places the quest item in the quest tracker bar and it limits it to the proper creature type. Doing a search on the CreatureID did not result in anything either.

The creaturetype limitation is handled by a condition in the db

It's been ages that I made my hunter quest.... but it was SourceTypeOrReferenceId = 17, ConditionTypeOrReference = 31, ConditionValue1 = 3 I think....

hmm let me check my code... I think it is done when you cast a spell that was set as an effect value upon the rod effect ending on you.

Yeah it is a spell with the SpellEffect 16 - Quest Complete.

Hmm yeah I just reread it and your quest is complete upon starting it... I can't find anything that makes my quest require more than the either though... xD
