Would there be any negative implications of reducing that 1 sec to something lower? Like 100ms. Do you know where this value is in the client?

I would presume the primary drawbacks are increased bandwidth and therein the handling of said bandwidth. However you pay that for higher accuracy

On Ascension we run 50ms heartbeat timer so each server tick it receives and accurate position update. We are already running it for a while and I have not notice any negative implications of it. Due to relocation notifiers this change is "almost" free <@171604048733011968>. The heartbeat by default is 250ms. Of course if you want to implement it server side you would need to change that also to have higher accuracy. We change these relocation notifiers based on specific state, (e.g. engaged in combat).
