I am specifically curious about 0x08 because it makes Northrend inn significantly __less__ brighter than without it, but it works in reverse for most other models.

well.. maybe. I mean I didnt make any special changes to render this picture. It's the same code flow as for inn. Though I havent checked what flags this model have, so...
