I too did not particularly like the infinite grind, but it is in line with "Investing Time -> Power Gain", I do think it is best managed by some sort of artificial barrier that doesn't feel like it intrudes.

The modding community is not so large that it makes sense to talk about the ethics of piracy. Blizzard is a monstrous capitalist corporation these days. They are hardly making a big loss out of what is going on here.
