Maybe the gameplay can be shitty, but I wouldn’t say that’s taking advantage

Probably signed out of the discussion, cause it's turning into semantics and circular arguments

No. As long as I am at the helm I do not believe that I will adopt microtransactions in any way shape or form. As cringey as it sounds - I'm one of those people when I play games I often refuse to buy any of them. It's very rare that I do, because microtransactions thrive on making profit from materials that would not normally be bought at such a price. Such as a $20 Blizzard Store mount. The quality and quantity of material you are getting versus $60 for an entire expansion, its content and the consistent content for two years is a monumental difference. Beyond that, microtransactions otherwise profit from "planned obsolescence" so to speak, where you create a problem for players that requires time to complete, and you sell a fast pass to skip the wait. It's an intentionally designed issue, with an intentionally designed monetary solution.

Microtransactions offer a quick purchase of an item for either a virtual or real currency, it is meant to be small amounts on purpose to facility some level of "reasonability". If one were to provide an option to gain power over other players in a game that focuses on competitiveness, then that could be seen as an attempt at utilizing the feature to allow players who don't invest as much time or effort into being competitively viable to still be viable.
