If you have lots of players and there’s basically always going to be someone in every zone it’s mute because the grid won’t unload.

But say it’s wrath focused and most players are in Northrend then people questing in Kalimdor will come across things like npcs not pathing until they’re in view.
Walk away they stop.
Come back they’re right where they were.

Imo that stuff should continue with or without a player so that when one does come along they’re basically not stood idle at spawn points.

Considering it even impacts raids I hate it. Barron Geddon does a long as path. It takes way longer than it should because he goes out of range of players, slows down due to it. With grid unloading off he does the full trip in the correct time.

Worth noting. Exactly that happened on Classic servers so odds are blizzard do the same style of unloading. But they’re cheap and their game at this point runs like hot garbage so I can’t blame them.
