<@158668771295363072> I wonder if it would be possible to implement "social sentiment" to the auction bot process? I just put an 8-slot bag up for 1g knowing that that's just under the bot's calculated "acceptable price". However, bags are actually way more expensive than that in retail Classic because they're bags... not having them is sort of a PITA.

So, I propose the possibility that certain items have a "prestige" about them that adds a multiplier to their price.

I think that could even be randomised and adjusted up and down. But I think you'd need an NPC that gives you "market sentiment" information that you can use to consider your price... might require client-side changes though? Or can a new NPC (with an existing model/audio) have dynamic text with server-side changes only?

Yip we clearly need AI learning. For the playerbots, too (not kidding)

I don't even think we need learning in this case: the bot can just randomise some sentiment value for each category, up or down, then adjust its final price using that value. The calculated sentiment value is then logged in the DB, which the (new) trader NPC draws their info from to give you "market insights" (which you can charge for?)

I mean sure, it's gonna work somewhat. But AI trained models would be next level.

That would be cool... you know what would be even better? A plugin that pulls real data from retail server AHs, works out averages, and fills the AH to match

Yeah, the more server data (of somewhat blizzlike realms) one could use for that, the better.

For the bots, there can be 2 AIs, one learning to steer them and one telling bot and player apart. They would auto-improve each other from their feedback.
