A recent (as in a few months ago) change made the resource nodes actually use sniffed data instead of handplaced guesswork

Part of that was actually grouping up the nodes into pools (that part was more or less guessed since Wrath Classic is no longer around to use as reference)

I actually thought mining nodes were way too common before. I ran a few mining bots in sholazar basin and storm peaks and even though I obviously got all nodes it still felt like I got way too many over a fairly short period of time

As someone who played on Classic and a couple AC realms before the change, yes, they were *far* too plentiful
