- Is the naming correct of the folder structure in the MPQ (must be 1-to-1 to the original structure and case sensitive)

1.12.1, yes i put every dbc in the MPQ that i could, no effect, yes it is correct and made using stoneharry's editor

Narrowed down the problem a little bit. Copy spell.dbc from spell editor into patch.mpq doesnt work. But if you remove patch-2.mpq on top of that, it works. But removing spell.dbc from patch-2 without altering patch.mpq doesnt work. If someone has any ideas on why this is happening, that would be much appreciated.

If i remove spell.dbc from patch.mpq while removing patch-2.mpq from the data folder, but having my custom patch in the folder, i get this error. Could this be the cause? Spell editor inserting an incorrect number of rows? But why would it work when inserted to base mpq's but not in my custom patch

As far as i can tell, nothing should be wrong with my naming structure. Since both patch and patch-2.mpq are loaded, but my patch isnt, points to a flaw in its structure, likely caused by spell editor because of that error produced above. If anyone has any info on how to fix this, that would be much appreciated.

this most likely rather means an older spell.dbc from an older MPQ is at top priority. that's why you don't mess with base patches as Jyria said
