It'd work the same in WoW. If you're in an Alterac Valley, and you die, you could call out for a healer. The likelihood that a healer would res you increases by adding value to the healer's game, this is why players feign pain and cry out, because healers positively respond to being rewarded for their support role.

Like on Wotlk Classic every AV weekend horde goes 2x 5 people at each tower (icewing and the other one) then the rest try to push north, meanwhile a couple people try to delay, and if you deviate from this, people go mongo on you
