I mean one socket needs to be the authoritative / prioritized one.

I've just implemented it as realmserver, which acts as relay and has character data - so if worldserver shutdown you get greeted by a "worldserver is offline" in character select

I assume it is so that if the secondary socket suddenly goes down, it falls back onto the first one (Auth)
