gameplay code is where it starts to become an issue; the client is so feature rich in how most systems work you cannot even remotely think of how some stuff works without diving into reversing it fully

Yeah, that's why I sit my butt down and dig into it as deep as I can.

I think it can be done. Just time consuming - but if you try to create a copy based on "how you think" stuff should work then there is no way it will become close to it

Yeah I already dug a few graves that need refactoring.
Funny thing is tho, that after I made my mistakes and began fixing them, I decompiled it and looked how wow does it.
And my idea of a fix was actually 1:1 what wow does
