i mean it's not really the packet but rather how the client does auto targeting, aoe ground spells, vehicle / transport logic with spells.

Like even transports. I would just assume wow does the same as every other solution out there:
Attach travelers to the object itself and perform matrix offsets on it

The thing that scares me the most is all rendering and physics related.
Those are the things that are hard for me. Like accurate lighting and shaders. And getting the movement and physics feel or work the same
