When you are inserting string longer than original size my most used method is to always put the new string to the EOF and changing offset and lenght in texture block to match new data

Forgive me, but how would I insert two null bytes after my string? Is it as simple as jumping to the last character of the new (shorter) name in the string array and entering two values into the following two array slots after the new name?
