might be doable with dummy auras covering all the common spell families, and might be possible to just trick the client that that is what's going on without managing them on the server

it's a group id. spells of different spell families cannot affect each others

if two spells have the same family id, the effect flags (96 bits / 3 ints) are used against the target spells spell flags (also 96 bits / 3 ints) to decide if the effect should apply on the target spell
