as u mention there is dropdown for version so just select latest for wotlk and thats it....addons which dont have it either deleted it or didnt exist

some addons could but there is such low chance its not even worth trying unless u know that some addon works in certain way which is same

from someone who used to do this, i generally look to see when it was first 'finished' since a lot of addons gets uploaded to curse and sites similar when they are still in development. so i find the first finished version, load it into 335, check the lua errors, repair, repeat. it takes a couple hours on larger projects, or only 5-6 fixes on small stuff

generally the older the version, the more compatible. but even 4.x have features 3.3.5 didnt have, so there will almost always require some work

Thanks for that. That makes sense. I guess I'll just look for a version as close to 3.3.5 as possible, working my way up from 3.0
