Doing a lua script for my 3.3.5a server and the RegisterMapEvent INSTANCE_EVENT_ON_PLAYER_ENTER seemed to brick any scripts that map had associated with it. In a few cases it even erased mobs that existed in the map, even though they exist in the creature table. Has anyone experienced this?

You either script in c++, or in Lua
