lets say. every mysql installation is portable by default. its just a matter of setting the data path

Very true its just a matter of easy database run. but if this causes troubles i delete the message

looking at the github link, it looks like a tool to start/stop the server
in which case i repeat my question, why? all it does is replaces builtin windows service management (services.msc) with 3rd party software

just for convenience and to make easy to move the database and dont have to deal with path changing. thats all
