what i meant is that you cant just randomly write to another process memory like you can on windows with WriteProcessMemory

I choose my words "*DLL* injection" carefully. You may be able to use a mechanism similar to LD_PRELOAD, but that requires reverse engineering of another binary format plus writing separate code to actually inject
