I have a theory a bit about the first one.. I wonder if the dynamic spawning meant that the fast despawn respawn of those called with triggeredfrom are the culprit?

Maybe when I get time I'll bring it up to date, make the changes I wanted to make (allow pools to use spawn id in the case they don't need multi entry multi spot and a couple of other small things) and see if we cannot add it before the tools. Since it doesn't interfere with existing pooling. You migrate pools from the old to new system, and can do it one at a time if needed.
Time is the problem these days.

if you want to do it, you'll find time for it

I just know it was painful to have that broken and just as painful to have to learn these systems to fix it

Yeah, I did look a lot into pooling. The original (10 years ago now) pooling stuff I made was within the current pooling code. But Shauron pointed out the guid stuff he did in master was applicable and it sent me down the long road of porting that to 3.3.5 and then doing the dynamic spawning stuff. Which was a prerequisite to make the map based pooling.
I mean it works as-is. I tested it at the time (all nodes in eversong), special creature and node zones, valgrind etc. Needs a bit of a rewrite because of some database changes. One of the reasons the last update is 3 years ago. It was more work than I had time to do to bring up to date.
Just it will ultimately need tooling to help convert pools/create them.

The old pooling is, not really fun to work with I'd agree.

Oh man, so some learning curve required even to get back into it
