I think thats only natural to an extent. You want to play around with a server. It doesn't require deep expertise once it's up and running to have a mess around. But compilation from scratch is a lot of effort, regardless of how well it's documented. You don't want to spend years learning that skill when you just want to have a mess around

on a side note, AI can actually help, as long as it's not blindly trusted. It can review code in case where users think "it builds, so it's correct"
