The vast majority of crashes I've had on my project is from unsafe pointers used in spell scripts, and it's gotten to the point where when someone submits a PR I basically just check every single pointer before it's used because of the amount of edge cases where it's randomly not available

It's more like having proper Getters and setters and doc on when objects are possible to be null / always present
