no, there's nothing like that, and it doesn't sound like a very good idea at all. kind of defeats much of the purpose of version control and makes it hard to deal with future conflicts

Anyone who played the original back then will quickly notice whether it is Blizzlike or not. Of course there are complex bosses with a lot of mechanics and others that have very few. I know some encounters that don't work yet or are only half Blizzlike because there is no solution or it's too complex.

there's probably some narrow uses for it and it'd be trivial to write a script to do that if you had the need for it, but i would never work with custom pull requests like that or anything, keep that in your own development tree so you can work with it like any other commit (revert, merge etc)

As an example, I added a hotfix with a patch without changing the main kernel code, you can immediately see the patch as it is and it is easy to remove and manage it.

it's more that if you have a wrong basis, even by a very small difference, any work you do on top of it will degrade in quality, makes it harder to incorporate actual sniff data and similar
