Ok, so this is i need to run something localy on my actual wow client to get some files that i then want to upload to the server? Is there a guide how to do this from Windows to Linux then? Since im using Windows personaly and Linux for the server?

The wiki has instructions for both linux and windows too extract dbc,mmaps,vmaps

But if you want to extract files from windows you'll have to compile the build tools for windows though

Why would I have a Wow client on a linux server? And if i need that why doesnt it say in the instructions or do i miss something here?

You need to run the compiled build tools that you get after you compile source

Cause how you extract them is up to the person it self. You need a client for the files to be extracted. Wether you do it on windows or linux doesn't matter.

If you of course have the server on linux and compiled source code for that you'll need the client on linux.
