If so that does qualify for some debug rendering, but navmesh is not the only thing you would want debug rendering for

It's one step towards debug rendering for sure, but it only does navmesh rendering. There's plenty of other server state you might want to be able to go in an debug visually on the server.

Network stuff too could be really nice, but then again it isn't crucial to TC itself as an educational project, and that is where the context of the original message is important.

Yeah, being able to see what entities gets replicated and sent to other players etc would be useful.
