<@216234897390436353>Thank you in advance for your detailed explanation. Of course there are also people who have no interest in 3.3.5 or classic wow. It is always up to each individual. But the TC community is so huge that I just don't understand why events like this are standard like every dungeon and boss. In my opinion, these are such important things as functional quests. Without such functional things, no MMO works, so I am of the opinion that the basis is created and then the cosmetic.

For example, you can probably ignore the fact that the event in ICC before Saurfang doesn't work properly, although it is also very important for real nostalgic players. Sometimes it's the little things that make a big difference. And if I had known that, it would just be a flurry of PRs to TC ^^ That's why I often look around and am always amazed that others can do it.

If you look at member list in discord the community is kinda huge. In reality only like <= 0.1% of those are actually contributing, which is entirely fine, and there are different reasons for them not to contribute.
Random examples in no particular order:
- From some people i've heard they are afraid of feedback (in most cases we are always trying to educate people so they become better)
- our "code quality requirements" are too high (we mostly tend to educate pr creators on how to do xy in a better way or adjust the code ourselves before merge) idk why people think this is bad and idk how to fix it either. *Legends say thats why some peeps contribute(d) to AC instead of here*
- not interested in sharing stuff
- missing knowledge (anyone can learn about stuff, and we're happy to help with that)
- time
- ...

You can always feel free to start working on something, ask about stuff you are not understanding/have issues with and then make a pr of that. During pr review process you'll be educated on how to do stuff in a better way - or the merging maintainer adjusts it himself (depending on which one you get there will be comments about what changes were done and why etc). If the code is ""perfect"" in terms of the reviewing maintainer he can just merge right away

Sometimes I also have the feeling that when you express criticism or ask something, it is ignored. Only recently I asked a question about whether the code I changed could work like this, but to date no one has responded to it.

This happens very often when you ask for help and then nothing is said and you are left alone with the problem. You don't expect someone to answer and take care of you within 2 minutes, but something like that would be nice over the course of the day, because how are you supposed to learn.

It was about this code snippet: https://discord.com/channels/37607328642...5209814127 And yes, I posted it there because it also belongs there in this area. But if many people ignore the channel, it's clear that you won't get any help.

Well its kinda further up in the history, none is scrolling up x days to answer a question. Sometimes you have to re-ask about stuff.
(Also no i cannot answer that question, idk how ammo works and its possibilities)
Idk how many people are actually ignoring the channel, i can just talk of myself in this case (as im not interested in custom stuff)

The code works, but it's still stupid when you ask something and don't get an answer to your questions.
