I understand correctly that Trinity does not have an implementation of the UDP-based protocol with guaranteed delivery.
without going into details: important data is sent via tcp?

updatedata gains virtually nothing from udp from the way it works because it needs the reliability for every update

and that's the majority of traffic you'll see from a server along with queries, which also needs reliability

yes, but a lot of studios and games use some reliable udp (even I myself and my colleagues did the implementation on a plain-c )
low latency, less load on the server, some specific ack algorithms - a small part of the improvements compared to tcp

you think its good for something like such a mmo but it isn't. You notice that on almost any mmo using udp. sadly they think its good. the tcp overhead nowadays does not matter at all. I think we had that discussion before here. just need to search for it <:zuccwater:449685374189699072>
