But yeah, you could do as you mentioned, just replace in dist then copy to .conf

potentially dumb question, what commands do you do for a non-docker build, ie, you want to compile the core? One way or another, it does end up running this shell function, correct?
(its the one that if `$DOCKER` replaces the `.dockerdist` files into `.conf`)
