I'm asking because I have never even looked at a VPS before but since we're talking Windows, how is Windows running in a VPS different to manage than running in a VM? Wouldn't it be the same thing?

Technically yes, but it has a fixed public IP for example. Open ports. It is hosted outside the network, so you can show how to access it and other topics that usually appear...

You still could when running it locally in a VM. Hell, you could show it even more because how many times haven't we seen people not be able to connect locally but their friends can connect externally?

u can also have static ip for VM just not public

People who often rent a virtual server in a data center do not have much knowledge of servers. You just get tired of a community, you have a group of friends, or you are a content creator, and you want to create your own community. At that moment, they try to look for a video that explains the basics of how to have the server outside of their PC, and in turn, people can access it.

I have been working with servers since 2010, I appreciate your suggestions, but unfortunately, I try, as I said before, based on other videos I made in the past, to cover certain topics, and that is why I made the request. If no one has it, no problem, I'll keep waiting, or later, I'll rent one, and create the video.

It never happened to me either because everything I have supports NAT loopback but I have seen many have issues with it.
