You should never compile in Release. If you don't wan to use debug (which is obvious because everything takes longer) then compile in RelWithDebInfo.

Yes, it would provide crash logs when it crashes and so on but still run as fast and good as Release

in terms of performance, does RelwithDebInfo a bit lightweight than Debug? sometimes i do debug version and it cost lot of cpu usage

i mean, the release version was much smoother, it doesnt cause ingame lag input than the debug

RelWithDebInfo is what it is called. It's Release but with some debug added on to it (like crash logs). There is next to no difference in performance between Release and RelWithDebInfo if there even is any difference at all.
