What exactly is the issue that you're having? You say you're having problems trying to connect but that's not really specific enough. Are you getting a connecting and then failed to connect, are you getting stuck at the realm selection screen or what?

Yes sorry once I make the changes to the auth server file and the world server file I cannot get them to launch succesfully

All you do is change acore_auth.realmlist, **not** the default values, to use the new IP (in this case LAN IP) and it should work
