So is the spell supposed to have some sort of flag which is telling whether the spell has GCD or not?

there is column where with correct flag u set if that spell is affected or not

I didn't seem to find anything like that with a quick skim through the spell.dbc. Gotta watch more thoroughly tomorrow I guess.

What is the purpose of the dbc files anyway? Why not just have all the data in the database?
