I don't bother dedicating them on my end either, evne if they're not running on a gaming PC, and I've never had issues because of it.

If you pin cores to VM's, you block the host scheduler from making smart choices about scheduling. This is mostly only an issue if your CPU is under constraint, IE its being asked to perform more work than it can handle at once.

the only thing is that if u are running something heavy like compiler in VM then u shouldnt give it all ur cores

Even if that is the case, I would sacrifice a bit of lag while it's compiling rather than spending 2+ hours doing so.

and also mind that in VM it could be threads not cores and if u got 4 core cpu and in VM u set 2 cores (but actually threads) u actually gave it only 1 core

If I assign 12 cores to a VM and max the crap out of it it's using 50% of my 24 cores so that's not possible.
