DOS (denial of service) is because too many packets were received in a certain amount of time. A DC shouldn't trigger that, no.

I've regularly seen DCs caused by spam. E.g. from bag sorting addons or multiboxers spamming an invite macro. But no permanent bans for that

DCs caused by spam, sure I guess I could see that but being permanently banned because of DOS as a result of spamming data like that? That sounds like bad anti cheat.
