I really only do DBC edits since everything I change require changes on both sides and it's just easier for me to keep track of a single file instead of a file *and* SQL queries.

If it's nothing the client needs changed, adding to the tables is the better choice (I still don't think so but I know the general public feels that way).

interesting! right, i'll definitely take that on board! i felt like doing it direct would be better, curious that the general public feels adding to the table is best?
and yeah, you're right Rymer- why create more work?

Generally the reasoning is *No need to edit DBC files* because that's a solid argument. In the end it's personal preference, I guess.

hmm, a fair argument i guess- but it feels like from the way I used to do it, modifying the dbc directly sounds much more familiar to me- so i'll probably look at that approach!
i'll keep an open mind though and see what feels more comfortable

I don't call it a fair argument. Keep in mind that I prefer DBC file editing over DB entries which is probably why I don't think the argument holds up.
