Yeah you need specific examples in order to ping someone else's experience in that way though, this is the first we're hearing about the logs thing.

Logs shouldn't be perf heavy by default. If this were C# you'd need to worry about string concatenation but even that isn't as much of an issue here.

My biggest issue with the logs is reliably catching the start of the encounter for now
