We had Co-located servers, as in we just provided rack space, power, internet, etc. and customers brought in their own servers. Once, when a guy sharing a rack with some other, unrelated clients was working on his server, he was seen just yanking power cables out of the PDU (power strip on steroids) for the entire rack

I worked on a server where the backstory was that a client's PHP error log was filling up with errors, and somehow sales tricked him into moving from a shared server to a dedicated server. So i worked on this server, which was having issues from a full disk. The PHP error log was 2TB
