Alright. But what's downloaded is doomed to be raw data. No way to move or rename these files.

Correct, it's just text that you store as a Lua variable and you can then load that in with loadstring()

I tried updating my core by doing a "git pull" in git bash for my azerothcore-wolk file. Re-ran CMAKE and rebuilding results in a fatal error:
