I'm not going to try it regardless. They got enough of my money over the years and I'm done with that. It's unrelated to private servers though and I just figured you saying the game is dead is not really a true statement because of how broad it is.

It has been in a quite drastic decline over the past two expansions, yes. That, to me, doesn't equal dying - that's just *my opinion* though and nothing more.

i know there are projects that technically offer cata+, but personally i don't find them playable

Aye. I'd be more interested in seeing WotLK being 100%-ed, and then just having fan made content on top of that to expand the universe.
