I guess that's the upside to using a private server. You can change it however you want and get a new experience out of it even if you can't migrate to a newer expansion. I mean, the private server scene has a lot of *big fish* that aren't dying and that's obviously because the game isn't dead.

maybe not in hearts of players but otherwise obviously objectively last expansions were worse and worse and shadowlands was peak of issues so its clearly dying

The new expansion has received *a lot* of love since they realized the plan used for the last two expansions was trash and changed so much
