I would suggest hourly backups though, seeing as you realized how important they are, and keep x number of backups in case you need to do a rollback.

Yeah I will probably do something like that. Though I do not have something grand planned like hosting a server so it is mostly only me that will be affected but I play at x1 rates so thats why I will be doing more frequent backups now

It's always good to keep backups regardless of your settings or player base. I'm the only one who plays on my server too but I do a backup every hour and keep a total of 30 days of backups (too many but I can so eh). In case something happens and something turns bad, like an update causing issues with characters or something, you can always roll back to the point before those issues started.
