Today I learned the importance of SQL database backup.. Last night we had power outage in all of my town and neighboring towns, so my server computer went down and my SQL database was COMPLETELY wiped..

I saw now that the folder on my drive is still there so I can probably salvage it but the users/settings and everything else was wiped so when I got in the folders and all was empty

Well I just had to reinstall and the original folders was working fine, but very jarring

I've never heard of such a thing happening. It still stores the data on the disk so unless the disk was completely corrupted it should still be there.

It was actually Xampp messing with me, I installed it but forgot about it and then with the power outage and restarting my computer it took over at that port and messing with me lol thats why the database seemed empty
