Linux is Native C++ (What AC was written in)
mySQL is a Linux program
Linux is great for servers
It's Free
Wow is just a giant Database which you will be working in if running a server.
It looks good on a resume, and Linux admins get paid more

Linux is very easy to learn, just like using cmd/powershell on windows. You don't need any form of experience to do some googling, learn some of the basic commands and go from there.

A lot of the linux commands are what are used in Powershell. `cd` is obviously used in cmd too but stuff like `ls` (and much, much more) work on both systems.

You can have a free Linux Server in Oracle Cloud so you don't have to run it on your home PC Yet another plug as my population grows over 100 and it's just humming along.

There's also the fact that you can easily fully automate whatever task you want on linux that on windows would take a shit ton of effort in comparison
