I honestly don't know. I'd imagine at a certain point for sure you have to get a converter program involved, but I haven't fiddled enough with it to be able to say

Well what you'd do is you'd convert it to something that works with WotLK and then run it through the extractors

Because grabbing the actual map files and DBC files and camera models isn't hard to do by hand, but the mmaps/vmaps are *very* different between core extractor versions

I know map structure is almost definitely changed, don't know to what degree, but as for DB structure I don't see how that's something we could know

oh youd also have to overwrite things like the new spell.db with the old one to get old spells functionality with the shiny new spells added in
