Does anyone have a rough order of magnitude number of players a server w/ 4 cores (7700T) and 24G memory (DB running on different server, about half the size) would support? A I looking at 10? 100?

Apparrently there was conf changes that accompanied it for core npcs. Im attempting to discuss it internally right now.

Check the "Networking" section in the wiki. Most likely sources are the realmlist table and closed ports in your router.

i followed that, i opened up the ports and changed the address in the realmlist section of acore_auth

creature.customID is temp fix.
Better to fix those creatures in modules by adding `creature->SetFlag(NPC_FLAGS, NPC_FLAG_GOSSIP);`
