Yea linking events is smart but the idea is for it to start sinister striking after reaching point 1, right? Not after it starts to move to point 1? Regardless, the issue does lie with combat AI as this issue is present on other mobs as well such as entry 17359

I tried that as well, including disabling auto attacks, but it still aborts the movement as soon as the player is an inch closer than aggro range

Even with auto attacks (and all other attack-related flags we can set through SAI) disabled, it re-routes from the point pathing to hugging me, as long as the NPC at any point is within swing distance. My best guess is that the combat AI breaks pathing

I attempted setting mine to passive on spawn too but left that approach behind since it removed its aggro/pull behavior, which introduced a need for further workarounds...
