I don't know if it's changed or not but last I heard AzerothCore will not work as-is with MariaDB. A few changes and it would, but there's no real reason not to use MySQL with AzerothCore.

Ah, great to know that, so I should find out how to setup mySQL for mangos servers on mySQL. The gentleman on youtube used different versions of mySQL for mangos and azerothcore, big burden to me....

Right, but he used 5.7 for vmangos and he recommended it for windows system, and he used mariadb for macos, I do not know reason behind, I simply followed the working route. I am a blind man... >.<

Is that "guide" very old? You shouldn't use 5.7 at all, it reached end-of-life in 2023
