I only can recommend you dk skip zone for the skipping of the area and about pre-set gear you can use the ptr template i think is the module and you've to set yourself some items or use any existing templates it's the easiest way to "give loadouts" to characters to my knowledge.
Or you can add to "everyone" the same items upon playercreation
