It depends on the number of cores you have. Of course multiple threads can run on the same core but having 12 threads with a 4 core CPU isn't going to perform much better than 4 threads.

16 threads so you could run 16 threads but I don't believe you'll use all of those. I **think** maps like dungeons and battlegrounds are separate objects (whatever they're called) so they should be able to run in different threads but someone who knows the core have to confirm or debunk that.
